Come and sit a minute. I’ve much to tell you.

  1. I’m waiting
    for the poem to
    arrive; Godot is
    late again.

    Out here
    in the open,
    I just can’t hide,
    I’m waiting
    in the rain.

    1. Bud Hunt says:

So much of life is “Put me in!”
      And gogogogogogogo.

But maybe best for all right now
Is “Take me out and sit me down.”

      Put the phone away.

Look left, as leaves freshen the Spring sky
Look up, as clouds play across the afternoon
Look down as ants discover discarded
      Treasures at your feet
Look right, as runners clamber closer
Their huffs and puffs aligned against the beating of your own heart

Which you’d notice if you sit

      Take yourself out sometimes.

The game will still go on.
It will wait for you to wait on you.

So take a seat. Bench yourself.
