Student Created Blog Policies
These are the blog policies my students wrote in class. The bulleted list came from students, I added the two paragraphs at the bottom ~SL

Blog Contract – 6th Period
On my group’s blog:
- I will only use first names (and last initial if necessary)
- I will not gang up on anyone
- I am responsible for anything posted in my name
- I will only post links that are relevant to the topic
- I will not plagiarize other groups
- I will try to use “correct” spelling
- I will write in an “adult like” matter
- I will stay on topic (I won’t discuss the “latest hotties” or summer plans)
- I will only link to appropriate websites
- I won’t say anything I wouldn’t say in school
- I will not use destructive criticism
- I won’t post personal information about other people or myself
- I WILL USE COMMON SENSE
I recognize that breaking any of these rules could lead to any of the following consequences depending on severity and repetition: warning, deletion of post, temporary loss of blogging privileges, and permanent loss of blogging privileges.
I further recognize that the blog is considered a virtual extension of our classroom, and therefore all of Mr. Lazar's, the schools, and the county's Rules and Regulations apply. I am aware that violation of any of these rules may be referred to the School Administration.

Blog Contract - 1st Period
On my group’s blog:
- I will not talk about non-work related issues
- I will keep links work related and appropriate
- I will only use first names
- I will not gang up on someone
- I am responsible for what’s posted in my name
- I will not spam
- I will not provoke or harass anyone
- I will use proper English
- I will only give constructive criticism
- I will use common sense
- I will not blame people
- If I don’t like an idea, I will give an alternative suggestion
- I will not LOL all over the place
- I will not n00dz dz kthnkbye
- I won’t say anything I wouldn’t say to Mr. Lazar
- I will not share personal stories
- I will not share personal info
