In case you are wondering.
I can live in hypocrisy quite nicely,
thank you very much.
For even as I tout freedom and exploration,
I am mindful that someone must tend the fields
and cook the dinners,
and I have more important matters at hand.
I must wield my pen against history,
against tyranny of authority,
against the constraints placed upon the individual
but I refuse to become a mirror writer
whose image is distorted in the odd angles of the glass.
(Not so happy with this one. Oh well.)

frosted monuments of
icy history

blossoms of ruby pie
I love those first two lines — very evocative.
