(I am not happy with the last line. Oh well)

That transluscent Pi you wear on your back
seems so discrete to me from over here,
in the rear of the room,
    where I heckle the class
with my chair acutely angled up on two legs at 40 degrees,
my toes propped perpendicular to the floor,
and my eyes covering the space in a right angle spread.
If I could, I would stare at the tiles on the ceiling
and make a game of the symmetry of construction,
speak in the language of Boolean code,
or create an encription that can’t be cracked unless you happen to know of
the Enigma Machine that broke Germany’s back.
All everyone hears from me is:
    I hate math,
when really what I am saying inside is
    I love design.

I had created the poem with hyperlinks to the math concepts, linking words to websites. But Bud’s comment bin doesn’t allow for links, as far as I can tell.
So, I created this Google Doc, with links.

    You write these symbols,
    Glowing letters on a wall,
    What???? I’m just a kid!
