Sometimes, all you need is a few basic tools to do some pretty amazing things.  Might this be one of them? #

    Colored Pencils

    You presume me: green–
light and soft on the spring grass beneath the warming sun,
when in fact I am red,
dripping dark with the dried blood of effort and exertion –
    while you, blue,
drink in the ocean’s vast horizon stretched out before us.
    Here in this space,
I compliment you and you, me,
even though the color-blind few of us
assume these shades of difference don’t really matter.
    They do,
for you remain my favorite hue.

Through the ages we got by
    with a few basic tools,

but fewer that even a child might use,
    and for the same purpose:

    a scrap of paper -
    a bundle of crayons;

once shown how to use them
    creativity needs no prompt.

    What, photoshop?

    Those pencils are unnaturally vivid.

    Kia ora Stephen!

My daughter Hannah can show me a thing or two in PhotoShop. I’d ask her, “Who showed you how to do that?” She would reply, almost insolently, “No one – I just found it.”

She would have found it using the suck-it-and-see approach.

    Catchya later

Yeah. Perhaps that sentence didn’t make so much sense.
